Sermon Summary: Advent is a Christian season of preparation and anticipation for the birth of Jesus and His return at the end of time. In 2024 Advent begins on December 1st and and ons Tuesday, December 24th. The word “Advent” comes from the Latin word “adventus”, which means to approach.

Christians from many backgrounds celebrate this time with reflections on Hope, Love, Joy and Peace. While their practices may look different, all focus is on the hope-filled arrival of Jesus.
